Chapter One

Well, I did it. I started another book.

Since I’m on vacation this week, I decided to dedicate the time to beginning book #3 in The Reinhold Chronicles. I was planning to wake up at dawn this morning and write the opening chapter—which was, by the way, set at sunrise. But plans change. The journey to publication

Well, it’s here. Publication year for The Fiery Arrow, first installment in The Reinhold Chronicles trilogy.

I’m aiming for an autumn release (to match the setting of the book)—so expect to see copies floating about sometime in October. Ten months seems like a long time, but I know for certain it will fly by what with editing, design, and all that lovely whatnot.

Book Two is finished, and I’m letting it sit and steep before making any edits. I need to gain a little more objectivity before I return to the story. And Book Three lingers in the shadows, thoroughly sketched and generally outlined―no longer a valley of dry bones but still something of a walking skeleton.

Things that have my attention this week: Vol. 3

I’ve been a little lax with posting lately, but that’s only because I’ve been spending my writing time, well, writing! Book #2 in The Reinhold Chronicles is coming along quite swimmingly after a tricky middle section. Now, at around 63% of the way through, I’m beginning to see the end: or at least, the beginning of the end.

I’ve just sent out The Fiery Arrow to a handful of family beta-readers, so it’s still on track for publication next year (date yet to be decided, but I’m guessing late summer at least). At this rate, check back here for a plot summary/publication information by the New Year!

Now, on to the things that have my attention this week…
